The Purchase

I sold this system to someone using Craig's list and I have found that this is actually a great place to post all of your stuff.

Anyway to get to the stereo system. The guy I sold it too wasn't as Stereo Savvy as he claimed he was because when I made the exchange product for money he asked me to draw a diagram of how I had this wired up in my car. Of course I drew the diagram and then explained what he needed to do to hook it up properly. He said that he doesn't need anyone to hook this up as he can do it himself.

So, he calls a few hours later and asks a couple of questions about the system like what ohm rating were the speakers. I specifically stated that this system was perfectly in tuned and that he needed to hook it up exactly as it looked like it needed to be hooked up. I also gave him the model numbers and the receipt for the products so he should know exactly all the specs.

So a few hours later he called and Jokingly says, this Amplifier doesn't work.. I laughed and said "What?". Then he says "Just Kidding, everything works great but when I turned up the music it blew the bottom out of my box." Then he proceeded to explain that he then used my Box and how the system was too loud for him and his family and that he might have to sell it again.

I just let him know that he can do whatever he wants with it now I don't want to hear about it anymore.

As the person I am I really just needed the money, but I didn't want to get rid of this item as I know that finding the same stuff again one day is going to be next to impossible.

MTX - 1501D - Mono Block Amplifier

MTX rated this Amp at 1143 Watts RMS @ 2 ohms. That means that this amp puts out more then 2200 watts of power.
Optima Blue Top Battery

This Optima battery is originally designed for long term storage. It holds more then 800 CCA and is dry cell. This makes is one of the best batteries for autos and stereo equipment. The reason I prefer blue top over yellow top is because you can use this battery in place of your stock wet cell battery or add the second battery in the Back, Like I have done.





Tsunami 1 Farad Cap

This Tsunami 1 farad bass cap eliminates the stress on your battery and reduces the dim of your headlights while your driving at night. This cap also if mounted near the amplifier allows for more immediate energy to be consumed by the amplifier, meaning that when the amp needs the energy its already there, instead of needing to travel 15 feet (avg) to the nearest battery.











Audiobahn AW121T Speakers

These are single voice coil 4 ohm impedence speakeers. They are rated at 600 watts continuous, and 1200 watts peak. They have chrome flame baskets.. (sorry no picture). Each speaker is held in by RARE .. and very hard to find, Odd Sized Allen Key Screws to prevent Theft. (Allen Key Comes with Purchase). Although you could switch these screws out for regular phillips heads, I wouldn't recommend it.

BOX

This Box is MDF and has the Speaker Connectors in the Back. I glued some extra pieces of Wood inside to Reduce the Airspace to get a tighter Size, The Blocks could easily be removed with a flat head screw driver to pry them up.



4 Guage Wire

about 20 feet of 4 guage wire will be provided. The ends are already butted so that it can mount easily to the Fuse or to the Battery end, The Ends that are for the Amplifier are left open as the Amp only Accepts Bare Wire Ends. I believe that I left enough wire to do the entire wiring of this system in any car.. except maybe a LIMO.

Power Distribution Block

Tsunami Power Distribution block - Unopened in original Package. Originally purchased to run multiple amps but never used because never needed more then one amp. This block allows for up to 1/0 guage inpus and two 4 guage outputs.

150 Amp Fuse

Included is a 150 Amp fuse and fuse holder. This MTX amplifier has a fuse draw of 150 amps so this fuse is 150 amps. With this setup the fuse can easily be changed for something smaller or something larger.

Pyramid Hi/Low Impedence Adaptor

This is the adaptor that is used when hooking up original factory equipment to RCA outputs. This elimates the need for RCA outputs from the head unit and allows you to keep your original Factory / Stock look and not have to run RCA cables all the way to the back of your vehicle.
